Leonard Neidorf<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leonard Neidorf\u00a0is Distinguished Professor of English Literature at Shenzhen University. He
received his Ph.D. from Harvard University and his B.A. from New York University. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neidorf is the author of\u00a0two monographs:\u00a0The Art and Thought of the Beowulf Poet\u00a0<\/em>(2022) and\u00a0The Transmission of Beowulf: Language, Culture, and Scribal Behavior\u00a0<\/em>(2017), both published by Cornell University Press. He is the editor of six books, including\u00a0The Dating of Beowulf: A Reassessment<\/em>\u00a0(2014),\u00a0Beowulf: Translation and Commentary<\/em> (2023, with Tom Shippey), Waltharius: The Latin Epic of Walther of Aquitaine <\/em>(2025, with Brian Murdoch) and The Legend of Walther of Aquitaine: Medieval German Texts and Translations <\/em>(2026, with Brian Murdoch).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neidorf is an Associate Editor of\u00a0English Studies\u00a0<\/em>and the Editor-in-Chief of\u00a0The Explicator<\/em>. He is the author of more than 100 papers on mediaeval literature.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Kristin Bech<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

University of Oslo<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kristin Bech is Professor of English Linguistics at the University of Oslo, specializing in the history of English, but with an interest in other (early) languages as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has led two research projects funded by the Norwegian Research Council, one on word order in early Germanic and Romance languages, and one on noun phrases in early Germanic languages. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the University of Oslo she enjoys teaching History of English, Old English, grammar and phonetics. She has also carried out numerous public engagement activities, under the motto: \u201cHistory of English to the people!\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
